ANOTHER looter has been jailed for his role in last summer's riots.

Ashley Wallace, 26, from Peckham, was found guilty of burglary and sentenced to 18 months in prison at the Old Bailey.

At around 2.10am on August 10 last year, CCTV operators saw a group of men using a metal pole to smash through the windows of Carphone Warehouse in Beckenham High Street.

Wallace was stopped by police when he drove away from the scene in a Ford Transit van.

Stolen iPhones were found hidden under the driver's seat.

Thirty one people have so far been sentenced in connection with the riots in Bromley, with further suspects either awaiting trial or on bail.

The long arm of the law has all the time in the world to nick these offenders... it carries on reaching and nicking them all... Let not the passage of time ever make us forget the true horror of their devastation and savagery that awful day.

If we do have enough prisons to hold these people, use converted bulk carrier ships. It worked in the 18 th century why not today. The rising level of civil disobedience is increasing. I know and understand the levels of frustration these youngsters have, with less work, but I had nothing in the 1940-50s as a teenager but I did not go out and loot, the penalties were to far severe they must return for a while
as a summery caution to all who commit these acts. .
