Bomb scare on 176 bus in Penge
POLICE were called to a bomb scare on a bus in Penge on Saturday night.
Officers attended at 9pm following reports of a suitcase left on the 176 double decker bus which had stopped in Croydon Road at the junction with Evelina Road.
The road was cordoned off and neighbours were evacuated.
A Bromley police spokesman said: "The package was deemed non-suspicious at around 10.25pm. The road was reopened shortly afterwards and residents were allowed to return to their homes."

Oh the m4 incident. It is so obvious they used that incident as a practice run. And good on them. It could have been such a different out come if they hadn't.

Maybe, it was surprising the number of specialist police happened to be in the area.
It could have been such a different out come if they hadn't....... What the coach getting to it's destination on time.
2001, terrorists hijack planes. 2012, terrorists hijack a Megabus on the M6 toll, this recession is hitting hard
Was it staged? Who knows.

This incident was over in 1.5 hours. Yet on the M6 it took 4 hours.
