Glentrammon Recreation Ground park to officially open following £50k face lift
10:55am Wednesday 27th June 2012 in Bromley By David Mills
A NEW playground is to be officially opened in Green Street Green following a £50,000 face lift.
A variety of exciting equipment has been installed in the centre of Glentrammon Recreation Ground in Windsor Drive by expanding the existing play area.
This follows a grant of £50,000 being awarded to the Friends of Glentrammon Recreation Ground and Foxbury Wood by the Big Lottery Fund's Community Spaces programme.
New equipment includes a 30m zip wire, hurricane swing, buccaneer tower, a flush roundabout and picnic facilities.
Families are invited to the grand opening at 1.30pm on Saturday, July 7 where the mayor of Bromley Councillor Michael Turner will unveil the new park sign.
Westcombe Park Rugby Club will be holding children's demonstrations and Orpington MP Jo Johnson will be on hand to draw the raffle later on.
Other children's activities include face painting, bouncy castles, hook a duck and much more.
