Get your wellies on for 3 Rivers Cleanup

A DEDICATED group in south east London is getting its wellies on in preparation for an annual river improvement campaign.

People are invited to get to know their river in a series of watery adventures to help improve the waterways of Greenwich, Lewisham and Bromley from June 2 to June 23.

The 3Rivers Cleanup is an annual series of events focusing on the Pool, Quaggy and Ravensbourne rivers, in partnership with the Environment Agency.

Hundreds of volunteers are expected to take part in the family-friendly activities, which include walks, river dipping, Himalayan balsam removal, litter-picking, and habitat improvement events.

All equipment is provided.
