SCHOOL and college staff in Bromley are being offered free training about epilepsy so they can help sufferers in their school.

According to the charity Young Epilepsy, one child in each primary school and five pupils at every Bromley secondary school have the condition.

Because of this it has come up with a course open to everyone who works in education.

Young Epilepsy’s chief executive David Ford said: “We are aware that many schools try to do the right thing but through ignorance and lack of understanding they often create bigger problems for the child.”

To register interest in the training or to find out more email epilepsytraining@youngepilepsy.org.uk or call 01342 832243 extension 424.
