SHOPPERS have the chance to find out about handball at an event in Bromley.
The British Handball Association will be at the Glades Shopping Centre on Sunday to give demonstrations and tell shoppers about the sport.
The central atrium will be transformed into a handball court between 11am and 5pm so people can witness the action live and try the sport for themselves.
Paul Goodwin from the British Handball Association said: ““We’re really looking forward to showing the public what handball is all about. It’s a great sport to play and watch, and it’s massive overseas.
"Our aim is to use the 2012 Olympics to make it more popular in Britain.”
Handball is the fastest growing sport in the UK. It is played indoors on a 40m by 20m court with six outfield players plus a goalkeeper on each team.
The aim of the game is to score in the opponent’s goal with body contact allowed when attackers are approaching the goal.
