Taxi drivers lose licences following station brawl
TWO brawling taxi drivers have had their licences suspended after they were arrested by police for fighting at a railway station taxi rank.
Andrew Badger, 55, of Axtaine Road, Orpington, and Mohammed Jabbar, 37, of Glyn Davies Close, Dunton Green, subsequently lost an appeal against Sevenoaks District Council's decision to suspend the pair's licences.
They were arrested by British Transport Police outside Sevenoaks station in May last year.
Badger has had his Hackney carriage driver's licence suspended for six months while Jabbar has lost his for nine months.
Sevenoaks Magistrates' Court upheld the council's decision and awarded costs against the pair of £765 each.

Mini Cab drivers don't get this 'perk', but then again they don't have to go through years of Knowledge Training. Hmmmn! Non-english speaking, Sat Nav & Atlas driver against a Black Cabbie.....think I would choose Black Cabbie every time.
What you mean like black cabs being free to use bus lanes?..
