QUAKERS have held a two-day celebration to mark the 50th anniversary of moving into their building.
After initially meeting in each other's homes, the Bromley Quakers moved into 46 Ravensbourne Road, Bromley in 1962.
On March 30, they held a stall in Bromley High Street selling produce from Palestine.
The following day members of the public were invited to meet the quakers at an open house event, where there were exhibits illustrating the history of the quaker community.
Bromley Quakers, which has about 50 members, meet from 10.30 to 11.30 every Sunday morning at the Friends Meeting House in Ravensbourne Road, Bromley.
They also meet on the second and fourth Wednesday of every month at 7pm.
For more information about quakers call The Religious Society of Friends on 020 7663 1000.
