Update: Street light ripped out of the ground in Petts Wood car crash Update: Street light ripped out of the ground in Petts Wood car crash

A MOTORIST has walked away from a crash with just a cut lip after the car she was driving smashed into a street light in Petts Wood.

Emergency services were called to Franks Wood Avenue at about 2pm today (February 9) and the driver was treated at the scene by London Ambulance staff.

There were two children in the silver Peugeot at the time of the collision but they were unhurt.

The lamp post has been completely torn out of the ground and engineers were sent to the scene to make it safe.

There have been no arrests.

I'm sure the Police will shed some light on the matter.

Lets hope so because NS certainly can't. Ironic, that this happened in full view of their office window. I'm amazed that someone even braved the chilly weather to get a snap after the event.

What's the NS slogan again ...... 'paper without news' :)

That street light looks firmly in the ground to me, bit bent at a week point though.
