CARERS are invited to an event where they can learn about the financial and practical support they are entitled to.
The Carers Rights Day is being run by the Bromley branch of Carers UK because the charity says without support carers can experience debt, struggle to pay essential bills and get very stressed about it.
It takes place at Bromley Central Library on Friday (December 2) from 11am to 3pm.
Carers Bromley’s chief executive Lynne Powrie said: “Families affected by illness and disability can struggle more than most as they try to cope with the additional costs of caring and, often, lost earnings.”
“Carers Rights Day is about getting carers the information and advice they need to claim benefits, get a carer’s assessment and access support.”
