Driver wipes blood off windscreen then drives off after fatal crash in Downe Driver wipes blood off windscreen then drives off after fatal crash in Downe

A DRIVER stopped to wipe the blood off his windscreen before driving off after a crash in Downe last night (September 27).

Other motorists saw the man hitting a deer in North End Lane, near Shire Lane, at around 8.30pm, and then getting out of his Mercedes to move it out of his way.

But he did not move it out of the road so it caused problems for other drivers and the R8 bus could not get past it.

The deer’s body was eventually moved to the side of the road by another motorist.

"The R8 bus could not get past it".
8 ton of bus v bambi the driver needs stacking. Well done to the person that moved the body. At least they showed some common sense.

So the story is that the driver didn't move it far enough out of the way.

Is that it?

And what's the relevance of him driving a Mercedes? Would it have been a lesser 'crime' if he'd been in a Fiesta?
