FLUFFING her pitch did not affect the fortunes of an entrepreneur and mum of three who walked away with a £60,000 investment from Dragons’ Den.
Georgette Hewitt, 35, had practised her spiel for the BBC television show using two information boards but problems arose when it came to filming as she was only allowed to refer to one.
But Mrs Hewitt, of Tudor Road, Beckenham, still managed to get the dragons Peter Jones and Theo Paphitis onboard for her interactive children’s gift-giving website thepresentclub.co.uk
She said: “[Being on the show] has opened doors for me.
And added: “I do not think the dragons were as intimidating as the whole production team.”
The website is unique as it gives children the opportunity to create their own wish list which family and friends can contribute towards.
