ORPINGTON MP Jo Johnson is encouraging people to get tested for Type 2 diabetes.
Mr Johnson launched the Silver Star Health Challenge with 71 other members of parliament at a testing event held at the House of Commons.
Each MP was issued with a silver star pedometer to measure the number of steps they take in a parliamentary week as part of a 50 day challenge.
The public can keep track of their MP’s progress at silverstaruk.org with the winner of the challenge to be announced in February.
Mr Johnson said: “The diabetes test was so easy.
“It only takes two minutes and can save lives.”
