MYSTERY surrounds a trail of blood which leads to a block of flats in Petts Wood.

The blood starts in a large puddle near the Crest View Drive street sign and drippings are then seen going up the stairs to the top floor flats.

It is believed a man who lives in one of the top floor flats was injured and was then taken to hospital by ambulance.

At this stage how he was injured and the extent of his injuries is not known.

The victim, who is believed to be in his 20s, is said to live in one of the top floor flats with a woman and two children.

A London Ambulance Spokesman says an ambulance crew treated a man in Crest View Drive at around 7.30am this morning.

He was then taken to the Princess Royal University Hospital, Farnborough.
