CRIME: Met launches youth website

A WEBSITE called Safe which aims to keep youngsters safe is being launched by the Met police today (July 29).

The site is aimed at 11 to 16 year olds and is full of information about crime and safety issues, ranging from bullying and drugs to gangs and knife crime.

It was designed with the help of youngsters from a wide range of backgrounds.

Met police spokesman Chief Superintendent Adrian Hanstock said: “Safe is a website designed in partnership with young people for young people.

“They are big users of the internet and consume a lot of information online so the Met needs a presence in that space.

"Our research shows there is a demand from young people for online information about crime and policing that is accessible and engaging.

“We believe that Safe achieves that."

"Safe is just one way we can give them advice on how to keep safe."

While we are busy keeping 11 to 16 year old youths safe, who is keeping us safe from 11 to 16 year old youths?

Hopefully Theresa May's recent comments should stop useless nonsese like this from continuing and being started in the first place. I'm sure a chief superintendent has better things to do? Let's hope so or maybe Hanstock's annual salary can be the first £60K + allowances to be saved if he hasn't. Get a real job mate!
