Ofsted gives childcare top marks

GOVERNMENT inspectors have given most of Bromley's childcare provision top marks.

Ofsted carries out inspections four times a year and grades registered childcare such as child- minders, pre-schools and creches.

Two-thirds of organisations were described as good and given the highest rating, one-third were rated satisfactory and small number were said to be unsatisfactory.

The borough's childcare provision is the best in greater London.
