OLYMPIC diver Blake Aldridge has been charged with shoplifting and assault.
Aldridge, aged 27, of Shirley Road, Beckenham, was arrested in Tesco, Elmers End, on February 19 after allegedly stealing booze and hitting a security guard.
The athlete, who partnered 14-year-old Tom Daley at the Beijing Olympics, appeared at Camberwell Magistrates’ Court via a video link from Bromley police station yesterday afternoon (March 18).
He has been bailed to appear at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on April 28.
