THREE major organisations have joined forces to offer free advice in the battle to get elderly people the benefits they deserve.
Age Concern Bromley, Bromley Council and Bromley Citizens Advice Bureau say they want to make sure older people in the borough get the right advice if they think they might be missing out on benefits.
The local authority’s executive councillor for adult and community services, Graham Arthur said: “Safeguarding adults is a priority for us.
“This is about older people getting the right advice, from a reputable source with the peace of mind there won’t be a hidden charge.”
Age Concern Bromley chief executive, Maureen Falloon, added: “Last year we increased older people income through benefit claims totalling £751,849.”
Anyone wanting help should call Age Concern Bromley on 020 8315 1850 or Citizens Advice Bureau on 020 8315 1940.
