BETHLEM Royal Hospital invited residents to its grounds for the annual Sunfayre.

Visitors enjoyed music from Bromley Concert Band, bouncy castles and trampolines, food and gift stalls and an It’s a Knock Out competition.

The Bethlem Archives and Museum was also open for visits as was the art gallery on the site in Monks Orchard Road, Beckenham.

Medical director Dr Martin Baggaley said: “We are so pleased to see so many residents, staff and their families celebrating the positive side of mental health.

“People do recover from mental illness and our current patients will have met many people today who’ve made the recovery journey.

“I’d like to thank everyone who contributed to a fantastic Sunfayre.”
