A NURSERY worker accused of assaulting babies is to face a court trial.
Laura Pettitt, of Thayers Farm Road, Beckenham, faces 10 charges of assaulting, ill treating or neglecting children.
She has pleaded not guilty to all the charges and the case was committed to Croydon Crown Court during a hearing at Bromley Magistrates’ Court today (July 9).
The charges relate to alleged incidents involving 10 babies at a nursery between January 2006 and January this year.
Pettitt, aged 26, worked at the nursery from April 2000 and was responsible for looking after children aged from three months to one year.
She is currently suspended from her job.
Magistrates bailed Pettitt to appear at Croydon Crown Court on August 24.
