A PEDESTRIAN crossing has been placed outside the Princess Royal University Hospital to make it easier and safer to access.
The crossing links the bus stop on the A21 with the entrance to the hospital, benefitting those using the bus routes 358 and 402.
Bromley Link is a patients' group which raises issues with local authorities to improve access and get better care.
The group's predecessor, the patient's forum, previously campaigned to improve access to the hospital, claiming that it was hard to get to and the surrounding roads were busy and dangerous.
Vice-chairman Patricia Choppin said: "We are pleased the crossing is open and hope it helps people.
"It's not just for people coming on public transport, but people on foot as well."
The crossing was funded by Transport for London who were working with Bromley Hospitals’ NHS Trust and Bromley Council.
