POLICE say they are no longer treating the death of a man in Mottingham yesterday (January 19) as murder.
Earlier today, officers announced they had launched a murder investigation after a 41-year-old man was found dead in a house in Charminster Road, Mottingham.
A 41-year-old woman was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder and has since been bailed.
Results of a post mortem are expected to be released tomorrow but police say they have uncovered new evidence suggesting the victim had not been unlawfully killed as first thought.
A spokesman for Bromley Police said: “We are no longer treating his death as suspicious.”
Emergency services were called to the incident at 4.14pm yesterday afternoon and investigating officers have remained at the scene for most of today.
