PREPARATIONS are under way for an event in the borough as part of a national drawing day.
A committee of seven has launched its plans for the Big Draw, a nationwide day of events started by the charity Campaign for Drawing to get people of all ages interested in art.
At a launch party in Royal Parade, Chislehurst, around 20 children took part in six animal-themed drawing activities as a warm up for the event on September 27.
Youngsters got a chance to try out calligraphy and watercolours.
The Big Draw is not a competition, but rather an opportunity for people to flex their artistic muscles, taking place all day on Chislehurst Common.
Committee member Sarah Watkins said: "It's for everybody to come and have a go including people who don't normally draw."
