YOUNGSTERS had fun holding creepy crawlies as part of a day spent learning about animals.
Pupils aged between five and 11 took part in an investigation week at Bickley Primary School, Nightingale Lane, Bromley.
Animal lover Paul Newman brought in stick insects, snakes, spiders, millipedes and scorpions for the youngsters to look at.
They learnt about habitats, how to care for different species and had the opportunity to hold some of the insects which had been brought in.
Deputy headteacher Glyn Roberts said "It was a fantastic day.
"The kids have been having a wonderful week and have been learning a lot."
Children also took part in bridge building, cooking and a murder mystery as part of the week.
