A HEALTH trust has won an award for its financial management.
Bromley Primary Care Trust, which provides NHS services across the borough, has been awarded the Health Financial Management Association's Financial Management Award.
It fought off competition from 20 other contenders.
The association represents finance staff in healthcare across the country and was holding the awards for the seventh time.
Judge Andy McKeon, a managing director for health at spending watchdog the Audit Commission, said: "Bromley really stood out.
"The trust is now in much better shape to meet its future challenges, targeting resources to areas where access has been historically poor, providing better information and support to practice-based commissioners and linking investment to public health priorities."
The trust's director of finance, Marie Farrell, said: "Our efforts have been more than rewarded."
