A suspect arrested over a botched burglary in Hither Green that left alleged accomplice Henry Vincent dead has been bailed, it has emerged.
Police arrested Billy Jeeves, 28, in north Kent on Friday on suspicion of a number of offences including aggravated burglary.
He had been wanted by police for two weeks in connection with a burglary at the home of pensioner Richard Osborn-Brooks in South Park Crescent during which Vincent was fatally stabbed in the chest.
After his arrest on Friday, Jeeves has been bailed until mid-May pending further investigations.
Police have confirmed that Jeeves, originally from Swanley, was due to appear in Bromley Magistrates' Court for failing to appear for a different issue, unrelated to the Hither Green burglary.
