School children from Bromley have won a science and technology competition after beating all comers at a South of England regional contest.

A team made up of pupils from Ravens Wood and Bullers Wood Schools represented the borough at the Southern England Science and Technology final at Queen Mary University earlier this month.

They won first prize after taking on challenges which involved programming a robot to navigate a maze and delivering a presentation on the future of robotics.

Made up of Steven Asquith, Angus Gibson, Ella Killeen and Scarlett Summers, the team won the regional round of the competition in June and were awarded a place at the final.
