Vintage busses appeared in Bromley yesterday and took people on nostalgic trips across the borough.

Five AEC Regal Mark 4 busses, known as RFs, were running between Bromley North and Penge/Crystal Palace.

There were also two RT double-decker busses running between Petts Wood and Grove Park.

People were able to use the busses but they did not have to pay.

The trips were run by the Country Bus Rallies group and were sanctioned by TfL

Adrian Palmer, who is a volunteer at the London Bus Museum, travelled on one of the busses.

He said: “It was a very nostalgic day out which was greatly appreciated by the general public who rode on the vehicles.

“The weather was atrocious, and it was very decent for the drivers to turn out. They all stuck with it and it was a tremendous day.”
