A search for Bromley's most heroic resident is under way, and the person chosen will turn on Bromley's Christmas lights.
Your Bromley BID and the Glades Shopping Centre are looking for volunteers, fundraisers, sports coaches and members of the community who go "above and beyond the call of duty".
The winner will take to the stage on November 19, to switch on the town's lights and will be given £250 of shopping vouchers and a £250 donation to the charity of their choice.
Nominations need to be in by November 3. You can see how to nominate someone by visiting here: www.yourbromley.com/localhero.
Frances Forrest, manager of Your Bromley, commented: “Bromley has a wonderful community and this is a great opportunity to celebrate this and say thank you to the people who make Bromley the place we all know and love!”
Kate Miller, general manager of The Glades, said she was looking forward to reading the entries about all the local unsung heroes. She said: “The festive season is about taking the time to do something special for those around us and this is our way of giving back to the public.
“The prize we’re offering is something the deserved winner will remember every time Christmas is coming. They too will also be able to donate a wonderful amount of money to a cause close to their heart, so this will benefit a wide range of people within the community.”
