An autistic boy is going to shave off all his hair to help sick kids.
Joshua Smalinsky, 10, is raising money for the Little Princess Trust, a charity which makes wigs for children who have lost their hair.
His mum Sophie Smalinsky, 31, of Netherby road in Forest Hill is a hair dresser and sometimes brings Joshua to her work.
One of Ms Smalinsky’s customers was donating her hair to charity. When Joshua heard he decided to do the same.
Now he will shave his hair off on November 12.
Ms Smalinsky said: “I’m very, very proud of him. Children with additional needs can struggle to show empathy and understand the troubles of others, he’s proved all that wrong.
“He’s a very loving little lad, he can have his moments but he has a heart of gold. He has extremely high levels of anxiety and can find it hard to sleep.
“But he never fails to amaze me, he loves a challenge. He doesn’t like brushing his teeth or doing his homework, but he turns around and does things you wouldn’t think would be possible.”
Joshua has so far raised £160 on his Just Giving page which can be found here: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/joshuashairdonation
