Hurricane Ophelia has hit the UK, with the west coast bearing the brunt.
The remnants of the hurricane have come over the Atlantic and hit Ireland today.
Strong winds have also battered Britain's west coast, with gusts of up to 80mph, exactly 30 years after the Great Storm of 1987 killed 18 people.
The Met Office has issued a weather warning for large parts of the country, from Glasgow to Cardiff, Newcaste to Cornwall, with the most severe warnings in place in Belfast.
However, the storm is not set to move further inland and hit those in the capital.
In fact the Met Office says that London will experience warm weather for October, up to 23 C, with some gales later in the evening.
