A "huge" knife was found under a car in St Mary Cray.
The 12-inch blade was discovered by a member of the public in Chipperfield Road near St Mary Cray station.
The knife was taken to Bromley police station.
Police said on Twitter: "Sgt Baker said its huge ....the knife is now at Bromley. Thanks to the help from the local resident."
Police are trying to find who put the knife under the car.
