Sometimes pub landlords get funny about customers bringing their pooches in with them for a pint.

But a pub in Keston has taken dog-friendly to a whole new level.

The Greyhound (yes, really!) in Commonside, Keston has covered one of its walls with paintings of customers' dogs.

A creative kitchen porter at the pub is behind the mural.

Rosie Alice Hillman, 22, of Ramsden Road in Orpington, has a BA in illustration and visual media from the London College of Communication.

She painted the landlord’s dog around a year ago, and when customers saw the painting, they wanted their dogs done as well, and the mural grew and grew.

Miss Hillman said: “The customers really appreciate it as they feel more a part of the pub and it displays how dog-friendly the pub is.

“Every time I do murals at the pub there is always at least one person wanting their dog to go on the wall.”

Miss Hillman hopes to work one day in theatre, painting sets. She did the mural because she thought it would be a good way to showcase her skills.

She said: “My mum painted a sky scene in my bedroom wall with a sun stars clouds swallows and a moon, and in Darrick Wood Swimming Pool when I was younger they had murals of mermaids in the entrance as you walk into the pool area, and since then I've always wanted to do something like that.”

Anybody who fancies a doodle of their dog should visit the pub quick before the space is all used up!
