A school in Chislehurst has spent £90,000 on new facilities for its sixth-form students.

Chislehurst School for Girls in Beaverwood Road used the cash to design two new study areas.

Computers and furniture were bought and iPads are being made available to the students.

Headteacher Karen Raven said: "We are thrilled with this new facility which will transform the way in which our young people learn and achieve.

"The new centre will help them to develop their own independent learning whilst remaining in a studious school environment, helping to bridge the gap between school and the more independent environment they will experience in higher education or a workplace setting."
