A fly has been spotted trapped INSIDE the packaging of a lunchtime wrap at a Tesco store in Bromley.
A video emerged on social media that appears to show a fly crawling over the ready-to-eat sandwich at Tesco Express in Bromley South.
The footage, posted on Facebook, was captured during the lunchtime rush at about midday yesterday by Helder Martins.
He said he reported the issue to a member of staff in store and later highlighted the incident with the customer services team.
He said he was told that the store manager checked the remaining stock and was 'satisfied this is a one off case and the remaining stock can remain on sale'.
One person responded to the video on social media and said: "More quality from Tesco."
Another added: "Is that inside? UGH"
A spokesman for Tesco said: "We take great care to make sure our products are of the highest quality so we were concerned to hear about this incident.
"We have checked the products on the shelves and we will be asking our supplier to investigate how this could have happened."
