Book readings by children’s authors and massages for weary mums, dads and carers are among the summer highlights at Barnardo’s The Triangle in Crystal Palace.

The centre in Coxwell Road is laying out an activity programme throughout the school summer holidays to help raise funds for Barnardo’s.

Visitors will be able to try out the building’s brand new sensory room.

Stay and play sessions for children under six will continue to run every week day from July 24 to September 1, with a teddy bears’ picnic on offer each Monday.

Play leader at The Triangle Luisa Gaungoo Orjales said: “it can be really challenging to keep young children entertained while they’re off school, so we’ve put together a packed programme for families in Crystal Palace that won’t break the bank.

“We’re so grateful to the Friends of the Triangle group for their fantastic efforts raising funds for the new sensory room, and I hope lots of people will come and take a look at it and everything else we have to offer. Every child who pays to use our stay and play helps Barnardo’s do more to develop projects to help the most vulnerable families in south London and beyond.”
