Sick of the London traffic? Need somewhere to vent? Or do you think you’ve got a few hot tips that could help someone get from point A to Point B in a flash?
Well peer to peer car sharing firm HiyaCar went around London asking people for their tips with the hope to cover the whole exterior of the car in post-it notes. By the looks of the car, which was travelling around Crystal Palace, they succeeded.
The idea came after it was revealed that Londoners spend more than £3,000 a year to run their cars. That’s 200 per cent more than the rest of the UK.
Co-founder and COO of HiyaCar Rob Larmour said the amount Londoners spent to run a car was “alarming.”
“Londoners are paying much more for the privilege of driving, at a point in time when inflation is growing higher than wages, further squeezing consumers.”
So what kind of tips did the drivers stick to the car?
“Take a trip through the Bat Cave - it’s not Bruce Wayne’s hideout but a secret shortcut from The Strand to Victoria Embankment through an underground car park beneath The Savoy Hotel.”
“There’s no secret streets into Stoke Newington, but Rectory Road will generally be clearer than the neighbouring Kingsland Road heading in, with fewer buses and less popular train stations.”
