A man suffered a head injury after burglars broke into his Beckenham home and stole a medal, jewellery and watches worth thousands of pounds. 

Detectives in Bromley are appealing for information following the aggravated burglary in Hayes Way at about 10pm on March 7.

The suspects, described as two black men in their early 20s, stole jewellry, watches and cash worth several thousand pounds and a war medal.

A nine carat Asprey pocket watch, an antique Roamer men's watch and a Tag Heur bracelet watch were among the stolen items.

The two men, who were about 6ft tall, fled the scene in the direction of Wickham Way and were later seen in Elwill Way.

The victim, a man in his 60s, required hospital treatment for a head injury.
