An albino pet duck has gone missing from his family home in Chelsfield , and his distraught owners fear he may have been stolen.

Billy and Katie Smith, who live in Jubilee Road, raised 6-month-old Lewis from birth, and were 'heartbroken' to find he had disappeared last Friday (November 18).

The couple, who have five other ducks, said that Lewis loves lettuce, worms and eating all the plants in the garden and was last spotted near the Toby Cavery in Badgers Mount, Sevenoaks.

Mrs Smith said: "There were no feathers, we thought if it was a fox there would be a lot of feathers."

When asked about their quackers choice of pet Mrs Smith said they kept ducks because they are 'so sweet', 'sociable' and 'love being picked up.'

Mrs Smith said: "His sisters miss him, they're very quiet and they're normally quite loud, they definately aren't themselves."

"Lewis is very friendly, always happy to see you whenever you call his name, he was the friendliest of them all, he was the leader of the group. Even the dog misses him."

Friends and neighbours have been flocking to help the Smiths reunite with their bird, but so far they have had little luck.

Mr Smith said: "We all love him dearly and are desperate for his safe return.

"We have spent many hours looking for him, putting up posters and sleepless nights.

"We just want him home safe and well. [There has been] lots of tears and we are heartbroken."
