Fire broke out in a maisonette at a block of flats in Bromley Common.
Four fire engines with 21 firefighters were called to the blaze in Magpie Hall Lane shortly after midnight on Sunday.
Part of a split-level maisonette on the ground and first floor was damaged.
Fortunately there were no injuries.
Crews from Bromley, Orpington and Beckenham were at the scene, and the fire was under control just before 1am.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
