Parents are being warned to "be vigilant" and make sure their daughters walk to school in groups after an alleged child abduction attempt in Penge last week.
A young girl was reportedly followed and approached by men in a white van on Wednesday, October 5 at around 8am.
Harris Girls' Academy Bromley, which is located in north Beckenham, bordering Penge, sent a letter to parents on Friday.
The advice from Kate Ives, the assistant principal for student welfare at the school, outlined what parents can do to remind their daughters how to keep safe.

It read: "The police are involved and are taking appropriate action.
"Please be vigilant with your daughters and use this as an opportunity to remind them of personal safety.
"If they are approached by a stranger, they should get away from the situation as quickly as possible and report the incident to an adult.
"If they are using public transport, they must tell the driver.
"In addition please remind your daughter ... to walk to school in groups and to seek immediate adult assistance in any crisis situation."
Mrs Ives also urges parents to inform the school of any lateness or absence immediately.
Police have been contacted for comment.
