A 14-year-old schoolboy has admitted knifing a teenager in St Paul's Cray, leaving him in a serious condition in hospital.

The youngster pleaded guilty to grievous bodily harm at Bromley Magistrates' Court on August 6, after being arrested in Pleasance Road two days earlier.

He stabbed the 17-year-old victim in the abdomen just after 10.30pm on August 4.

Paramedics rushed the teenager to a south London hospital in a serious, but stable condition.

He has since left hospital after receiving treatment, police said.

The 14-year-old will return to Bromley Magistrates' Court for sentencing on August 30.
