TRAVEL: Road closures planned for Orpington gas works
Maintenance work on Shire Lane in Orpington starting tomorrow will see the road closed over the bank holiday and next week.
The replacement of old metal gas mains with new plastic pipe starts on Saturday, May 28 and is expected to continue for nine days.
Gas company Southern Gas Networks (SGN) will be working on the road, which is between Farnborough Hill and Beechwood Avenue.
Farnborough Hill will be closed westbound from the A21 Farnborough Way roundabout to Contessa Close.
A number of bus stops will be temporarily closed.
Residents will be able to access the roads at all times.
