A charity cupcake shop staffed by people with learning disabilities will re-open after being closed for refurbishment.
Pretty Little Cupcakes in Penge High Street is funded by the charity PLUS and offers employment and experience to people with learning disabilities who might otherwise struggle to find a job.
They run the entire bakery, which opened in 2012, with a supervisor on hand, from working on the tills to dealing with customers or baking cakes.

Hayley Gilliam, Head of Services at PLUS, said: “Our staff members get a sense of achievement and it makes them really proud. They are paid and are working and they have different roles.”
“Some will move to other jobs and others will find that more difficult, but some staff members go on to get other jobs within the food industry.
“We’ve been closed since the beginning of February and they can’t wait to get back to work.”
PLUS also run residential homes, supported living, and activities and day services.
Pretty Little Cupcakes will re-open on Friday June 4 at 10am.
