Renters in south-east London and other boroughs have taken to Twitter to share their housing horror stories using #VentYourRent.
The campaign, run by Generation Rent, aims to highlight the number of people living in the capital in sub-standard condtions ahead of the mayoral elections.
Contributors mentioned Deptford, New Cross and Penge as places where they experienced horrible living conditions.
Across the whole of London, renters mentioned damp, mould, sudden rent increases and unreliable landlords as the biggest problems they face.

The campaign has highlighted some extreme cases across the London boroughs, such as renters who have been unfairly evicted or who have rented illegal properties at extortionate prices.
£950 per month for a mouldy room in Deptford.
£600 per month to sleep in the living room.
Some people have to spend more than two-thirds of their wage on rent.
Lots of people mentioned mould as a big problem.
Two weeks ago News Shopper reported on a landlord attempting to rent a cabin in their back garden for £550 per month.
