A Chislehurst bungalow blaze required six fire engines and 35 firefighters and officers to put out the fire yesterday evening.
The occupiers, a woman and her adult son, discovered a well-developed fire on the first floor of the property in Sunnyfield Road yesterday evening.
The ground floor and the roof were badly damaged by the blaze.
They called the Brigade and left the property.
Leesons Hill was closed off last night
Thankfully they were both uninjured.
The Londn Fire Brigade was called at 6.29pm and the fire was under control by 9.34pm.
Fire crews from Orpington, Sidcup and Bromley fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
