There are "severe delays" at the Dartford Tunnel - after a lorry hit and damaged the over-head barrier.
The left hand tunnel was closed until 3.40pm, whilst emergency repairs were underway.
Two lanes of the M25 were also shut.
Traffic is solid for several miles on the anticlockwise tunnel approach in Dartford, Highways England have warned.
There are currently queues to junction 4 at the Orpington turn-off, adding "well over an hour" to journeys.
