World-class jazz musicians will play Bromley as a new regular night of entertainment comes to town.

Bromley Court Hotel will host monthly jazz suppers on the third Sunday of every month, starting February 21, featuring London’s finest jazz musicians, an open-mic slot and world-class guest performers.

Alongside the music, curated by jazz veteran Dave Silk, the evenings will feature a New Orleans style supper with dishes such as Creole calamari with smoked tomato mayonnaise and grilled Cajun salmon with a jalapeno and chilli mayonnaise.

In the 1960s, the hotel hosted Bromley Jazz Club and featured acts such as Manfred Mann, Cream, the Rolling Stones, David Bowie and Pink Floyd.

Jimi Hendrix began his Experience tour at the hotel in 1967.

Mr Silk said: “I’ve created a musical format for The Bromley Court that’s a mix of easy-listening jazz and show tunes to appeal to both the novice and the enthusiast.

“As well as my regular group of experienced jazz musicians, there will be guest appearances from top players from around the world and the occasional surprise – last year I brought in a steel band for one of my evenings.”

The evening runs from 7pm to 10.30pm. The jazz is free but the Cajun-style supper costs £10 for one course, £15 for two and £20 for three. Call 020 8461 8600 or go to bromleycourthotel.co.uk/events
