South-east London and north Kent will begin to warm up after shivering through a wintry weekend.
Forecasters said milder weather is on the way but the week would become fairly unsettled with rain showers and blustery winds.
Night time temperatures should stay above freezing.
Today (November 23) has begun bright and chilly with some patches of freezing fog, which will be slow to clear throughout the morning.
This afternoon, high cloud will push down from the north but it will stay dry through to the evening with temperatures reaching 6C.
Tonight, the weather will be breezy with some rain becoming persistent and heavy at times after midnight and temperatures dropping to around 3C.
Tomorrow will be mainly dry with sunny spells, which could occasionally be interrupted by some isolated showers.
Temperatures will reach a maximum 10C, closer to the average for November.
The rest of the week looks to be fairly unsettled with more showers and strong winds from Wednesday through until Friday.
