A studious 11-year-old from an Orpington school is top of the class after never missing a day of school in seven years.

Lee McCormick, who just left Year Six, is proud to say he has never taken a single day sick in his entire school life so far and has a prestigious 100 per cent attendance record.

The Lessons Primary School pupil, in Leesons Hill, received a plaque and a brand new Lenovo Think Pad Laptop in recognition of his dedication to his education.

The youngster was awarded the prize by Bromley’s deputy Mayor, Coun Alan Collins at the school’s moving on assembly last Thursday (July 16).

Headteacher Amanda Rush said: “The whole school community were delighted for Lee and his family who have supported him all the way through Primary School. A truly outstanding achievement.”
